Six More Things! Six More Things!

(I feel a little bit like a candidate running for re-election with that chant in the title.)

Remember that time I said we only had five things hanging up in our house?  Well, that confession helped us to take a long, hard look in the mirror and decide that there's no time like the present to make some choices, put some holes in walls, and hang some stuff up.

This past weekend, we took turns assuring each other that, worst case scenario, we could spackle and re-paint the spot of an errant nail hole.  With that extra push, we hung up six whole things!  Well, actually, seven, but lucky item number seven will show up in its own post.  Sorry for the lie.

Anyhow, six items.  More than doubled our hanging decor total over the span of 24 hours.  I'm surprised we didn't hurt our shoulders as we patted ourselves on the back for the remainder of the weekend.

Without further ado, here's the cast of Hanging Decor: The New Class.

First up, a landscape painting we hung above the buffet in our dining room.  We had to contend with the thermostat placement here, but fortunately we think it turned out pretty well.

Second, we relocated the Charleston painting to a section of wall in the living room.  It pops off the blue accent wall way more impressively than it did off the neutral wall above the fireplace, so we're ecstatic with this switch.  Spoiler alert -- this painting's relocation has something to do with mystery object number seven.

Items four through six are in the hallway outside our second-floor bathroom.

We have our wedding party jumping picture, oversized L, and wedding song art from our apartment's gallery wall hanging up on one side...

... and the sketch of Billy's childhood home on the opposite wall.

I know this is going to sound so obvious, but it's amazing how different a space can feel once it has your art on the walls.  The house feels like it got a facelift!  Nearly every room has a new and exciting space, which makes just general living a bit more enjoyable.
